Erlanger Park has quickly become one of Chattanooga’s most talked-about new landmarks, but its importance goes beyond baseball.

The new home of the Chattanooga Lookouts sits in the South Broad District, an area long shaped by industry, rail, manufacturing, and underused land. For decades, this part of the city was better known for its industrial past than for weekend crowds, restaurants, apartments, or family outings. The ballpark is now helping change that perception.

Built on land tied to the former U.S. Pipe and Foundry site, Erlanger Park represents a larger effort to turn a historic industrial corridor into a more active mixed-use district.
