World Cup Watch Parties Bring Soccer Energy Across Chattanooga |
As Spain settles into Chattanooga for its World Cup base camp, local venues are giving fans several places to catch Team USA, Spain, and other international matches around town. |
Chattanooga’s World Cup moment is starting to show up around town.
With Spain using Chattanooga as its 2026 FIFA World Cup team base camp and training at Baylor School, local venues are leaning into watch parties for both Team USA and Spain matches. FIFA lists Spain’s team base camp city as Chattanooga, with Baylor School serving as the training site.
For fans, the easiest starting point is White Duck Taco Shop on McCallie Avenue, which is listed as an official Chattanooga Soccer Fans watch party venue. White Duck plans to host five confirmed matchdays, including USA vs. Paraguay on Friday, June 12 at 9 p.m., Spain vs. Cabo Verde on Monday, June 15 at noon, USA vs. Australia on Friday, June 19 at 3 p.m., and Spain vs. Saudi Arabia on Sunday, June 21 at noon. The watch parties are planned for White Duck’s outdoor lawn at 1519 McCallie Ave., with a big screen, family-friendly setup, dog-friendly area, and no cover.
Another downtown option is The Read House, which is hosting a ticketed Team USA vs. Paraguay watch party on Friday, June 12. The event begins at 6 p.m. in The Garden at The Read House, located at 107 W. Martin Luther King Blvd., with kickoff at 9 p.m. The event includes a 10-foot outdoor screen, live music from Doubleshotz, BBQ, drink specials, and lawn games. Tickets are listed at $30 for adults and $15 for children under 12.
For Spain fans looking ahead, Tailgate Brewery on Market Street is listed for Uruguay vs. Spain on Friday, June 26 at 8 p.m. Chattanooga Soccer Fans also notes Tailgate as part of the city’s broader watch-party lineup, with two LED screens and craft beer available.
Barrelhouse Ballroom / Five Wits at 1501 Long St. is also part of the local World Cup watch map. Its confirmed big watch-party event is a Saturday, June 27 double-header featuring Panama vs. England at 5 p.m. and Colombia vs. Portugal at 7:30 p.m., with the games shown on a back-room projector and Five Wits beer and food on site. The venue also says other World Cup matches that fall during taproom hours may be shown on screens, though sound is not guaranteed.
For Chattanooga, the story is bigger than a single game. The city is not hosting World Cup matches, but Spain’s presence gives local fans a rare connection to the tournament — and watch parties are turning that connection into a citywide soccer moment.
