Chattanooga Plans Riverfront America 250 Celebration

Chattanooga’s America 250 lineup will bring civic events, live music, a free Hamilton sing-along, drones, and fireworks-style riverfront spectacle to the city from June 28 through July 4.

Chattanooga is launching an early celebration of America’s 250th birthday with a vibrant lineup of riverfront events starting late June.

The America 250 celebration series kicks off June 28 at Renaissance Park, where “Democracy Speaks” will invite locals to reflect on civic life and the nation’s history.

Pops on the River returns July 2 at Coolidge Park, promising a festive summer concert with family-friendly atmosphere, music, and easygoing picnic vibes along the North Shore.

On July 3, a free outdoor Hamilton sing-along brings musical patriotism to the community, setting the stage for the holiday.

The festivities culminate July 4 with a spectacular 500-drone show and dramatic pyro waterfall from the Market Street Bridge, expected to light up the Tennessee River.

Residents are encouraged to plan ahead as downtown and North Shore will be bustling for the big finale.
