Fire Up the Fields Returns to Chattanooga

Chattanooga's Sculpture Fields at Montague Park is preparing for an evening of live music, food, art and a dramatic sculpture burn on Saturday, October 24, 2026.

Fire Up the Fields runs from 3:30 to 11 p.m. at 1800 Polk Street in Chattanooga.

The annual event brings together residents and visitors for a celebration that is unlike a typical fall festival.

The Sculpture Burn Is the Main Attraction

Artist Andrew Nigh's large-scale wooden creation is the centerpiece of the event.

As evening unfolds, the sculpture will be set ablaze in a planned artistic performance, creating a memorable visual finale.

The experience blends outdoor art with the energy of a community gathering and reflects Sculpture Fields' commitment to making ambitious public art accessible.

Music, Food and Community

Visitors can expect live musical performances, food trucks and drinks during the festival.

The celebration offers time to enjoy the park's atmosphere before the featured sculpture burn.

Sculpture Fields is a major outdoor art destination in Chattanooga's Southside, with walking paths and large installations on its grounds.

Events such as Fire Up the Fields also draw attention to the nonprofit organization's mission to maintain the sculpture park and enrich the region through the arts.

General Admission and VIP Options

Admission tickets are offered through the event organizer, and children younger than 12 may attend free.

A separate VIP experience includes a dedicated viewing area for the sculpture burn, VIP parking, private restrooms and access to a VIP bar with complimentary food, beer and wine.

VIP admission also includes an opportunity to meet featured artist Andrew Nigh.

Ticket availability is limited, and organizers say sales are final with no refunds or exchanges.

The event is planned for rain or shine, though the burn remains dependent on wind conditions.

Planning a Visit

Fire Up the Fields takes place Saturday, October 24, from 3:30 to 11 p.m. at Sculpture Fields at Montague Park, 1800 Polk Street, Chattanooga.

Visitors should review the event's current ticket options, parking instructions and weather-related notices before leaving home.

During special events, the park's main parking lot may have restricted access, so allowing extra arrival time is advisable.

For families, art lovers and anyone seeking a distinctive Chattanooga experience, the combination of music, community and an extraordinary outdoor sculpture promises a memorable Saturday evening.
