Chattanooga will welcome high school athletes and their supporters as the TSSAA Girls’ Soccer State Championships take place October 27–30.
The tournament brings qualifying teams from around Tennessee to the Scenic City for a week of postseason competition.
Early rounds are scheduled at several local school facilities, including Baylor School, Boyd Buchanan School and The Howard School.
The championship rounds are slated for Finley Stadium on Reggie White Boulevard.
The event is organized through the partnership of the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association and the region’s sports and events organization.
Beyond the matches, the championships bring visiting players, coaches and families to area neighborhoods, restaurants and lodging businesses.
For local families, the tournament offers a chance to watch high-level student competition close to home.
Supporters should check the official schedule before arriving, since matchups and venues depend on tournament progression.
Tickets and other attendance details may differ between qualifying matches and championship rounds.
With Chattanooga FC also preparing for a major home playoff match on November 1, the city faces a particularly busy stretch of soccer.
The girls’ state championships begin Tuesday, October 27. |
